The Hex Grip is a set of modular hexagonal traction pads that stick directly to your surfboard deck, replacing traditional surf wax. Each pad has a strong 3M-adhesive backing that bonds to your board. The textured surface gives you grip underfoot in all conditions — no reapplying, no melting, no mess.

Yes. The Hex Grip works on shortboards, fish, longboards, funboards, soft tops, and skimboards. It can be applied to any smooth, clean fibreglass, epoxy, or foam surface. Do not apply over existing wax, oil, or textured finishes.

1. Thoroughly clean and dry your board (remove all wax residue first).
2. Use the included template to position your pads.
3. Peel the backing and press firmly onto the deck.
4. Press down the edges carefully.
5. Allow 8 hours before surfing for best adhesion.

No. The adhesive is designed for board surfaces and will not damage the fibreglass or foam. To remove, gently warm the pad with a hairdryer and peel slowly from one edge.

Both patterns provide the same level of grip — it's purely a visual choice. Dotted has a clean, minimal dot texture. Speckled has a more scattered, organic pattern. Both are available in Clear and Black.

With proper installation and care, the Hex Grip pads are designed to last multiple seasons. Rinse with fresh water after each session and avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat (e.g. leaving your board in a hot car).

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Standard delivery takes 7–20 business days after dispatch. You'll receive a tracking number once your order has shipped.

Shipping is free on all Australian orders.

Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive an email with your tracking number. Allow 2–3 days after dispatch for the tracking to update.

We currently ship within Australia only. International shipping is something we're working on — stay tuned.

We accept change of mind returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. See our Returns Policy for full details.
